Private Garrett Chidley, 21, of Langley was one of four Canadian soldiers on December 30, 2012, in Afghanistan when the armoured vehicle they were riding in struck an improvised explosive device. Garrett was a student at Brookswood Secondary School from grade 8 to 11, and like a lot of students, was enrolled in the school's film program, Backstreet Studios. He transfered to Langley Secondary School for grade 12.
After digging through some old films, some of Garrett's grade nine films were found. "Smile," a PSA, is a film on anti-smoking, and "Chess" is a comical music video. You can watch them below.
